An electric power plant had persistent leaks in the mechanical connections around a lube oil purifier used to treat lube oil for the plant's rotating equipment. This resulted in loss of lube oil, an oily waste disposal problem, and a general mess around the purifier.

Team personnel suggested a Hi-Pro Seal^® application to all leaking connections around the lube oil purifier.

According to the maintenance supervisor, Hi-Pro Seal^® stopped the leaks and left the area around his lube oil purifier "…tight and dry as a bone."

The plant then applied Hi-Pro Seal^® to other 'chronic' leak problems.
