A plant in New Jersey had a 6", 2500 psi rated valve that was leaking at the packing and operating at 1800 psi and 650°F steam.

The bonnet and stuffing box were recessed down, leaving the stuffing box flush with the bonnet retainer.

Team technicians drilled an access hole through the yoke, the retainer, and into the stuffing box. They then loosened the gland bolts, and pumped the gland with Team packing materials.

The bolts were tightened and the leak was contained.
