A specially designed and manufactured Team clamp stopped a pressure seal leak (operating pressures at 900 psi and temperatures to 550°F) on the OD of a 32" stop check valve.

Team engineers designed the clamp to fit against the ID of both the retainer place flange and bonnet. Specially positioned hold-down bolts and separate types of seals that fit against the flange and bonnet also were designed into the clamp.

Plans and repair procedures were submitted to the customer for approval. Plant engineers gave the go-ahead and Team custom manufactured the clamp.

Team technicians installed the clamp, drill-and-tapped the hold-down bolts, and injected special Team sealants to stop the leak.

Plant officials expressed satisfaction with the job, and asked Team to quote the repair of other retainer plate flanges with similar leaks.
